John C, There are competent Democrats, but they cannot get into any leadership position because the radical, socialistic, side of that party, such as Hillary, Kerry, Dean, and many others, have a strangle hold on the entire party. A moderate doesn't have a chance to take the lead. For it's existence so far, America has never really leaned toward socialism, and are not likely to in the near future, so as long as these ranting, and railing, hard noses leftwingers, like those mentioned above, keep the control of the party, it will crumble and fall into oblivion.
I am a Republican, but feel that there should be, at least, 2 strong parties so they can keep each other a little bit honest. |
