My thinking on the subject is that there is so much hatred for the Israelis that destroying Israel primes any other goal. Anti-Semitism has defined and will define the oil-producers' strategy for a very long time.

It's insane. And it will end up badly for all concerned.

The only thing we can do is assist Israel in destroying the means by which Israel can be destroyed. Since we are erroneously seen as pawns of the Israelis, joining them might not be such a bad idea, particularly since doing so will perhaps increase our own security.
