They could have accomplished the idea of an occupying force in Afghanistan where AQ was based. They also had the backing of the international community because of 911. Iraq is for many reasons for many people with different agendas: - one upping Poppy Bush - the psychological bs of an incompetent first son - low-hanging, easy-access oil - incomplete - march to Baghdad - from the first gulf war - American hegemony - ROTFLMAO - war profiteering - wartime administration = campaign point - transfer of risk and wealth from middle class to ultrawealthy = ultimate reason
