Don't forget that waves go twice as high as their sea-level height before reflecting back out again. So you are safe from a 70 foot tsunami. That's pretty good.

We are 80 metres high [maybe it was 60 metres] so we can take a decent splash. We are also hiding behind 400 metre mountains to the west and comparable to the east, with islands running interference in the Hauraki Gulf.
