I have known and heard of illegals from England, India, Pakistan, etc. You name it. The British bloke I knew had a pretty good paying job, and that's why he overextended his visa here, getting that paycheck as long as he could. And he added a baby to a welfare mother of two, out of wedlock. That was his contribution to US society.

We hardly heard of Pakistani illegals prior to 911. There were quite a few who hurried to the Canadian border because they were targeted for potential terrorists in US.

I think Indians learned English in schools, and their English allow them to immediately and more easily find many jobs in US. The immigrants who don't know and have to learn English, they start at a disadvantage. In either case, Indian and Chinese immigrants don't get welfare handouts. Think Vancouver and Toronto, and see how those immigrants have done wonders for Canadian economy.

Indians is the second largest group of US immigrants in the last five years or so. It would do US economy good to bring more of those Chinese and Indian immigrants.
