Karen, What many of us old guys remember the lives that have been lost in the defence of what that flag stands for. It hurts to see some punk, male or female, care so little about the freedom those people gave their lives for.
Also, as quoted many times during a year, "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America". Any American, natural born, or otherwise, should respect that allegiance.
There was a time when, if a person, or persons, burned the American flag, they prayed for tar and feathering rather than what they were going to get. I would, gladly, melt the tar, and thickly apply it to naked skin. |
