Harvey Anderson asked "why hold the annual meeting in NYC and not SFO?"... ...because the beautiful Compass Room at the Saint Francis is no more. They made the best martini in the world....and pink shirts were the fashion there. heheheh....(had to throw that in Ed)...and no, unfortunately, I dont have my scads of Ampex shares anymore. gnaw, gnaw...and that martini is really tough to duplicate anywhere else...somethin' about the Compass Room ambience that really made it special. Well, as to the Compass Room, it's now a super numero uno restaurant...but it'll never replace the Compass room. Wow...what incredible posts you fellows are making, rolling in the new Ampex dough...which makes me wonder. Is there a good bakery in Redwood City? Cheers all!
