Alex you must tell Caroline that the two of you missed a real trip to Hell with us yesterday. After an hour and 45 minute drive the air compressor clutch on our van failed and the damn thing started to smoke (the rubber gasket burning) and spark. We stopped in the middle of nowhere, in a deep valley (where the CB was useless) and NOBODY stopped to help us or call for help. So we turned around and decided to try to make it home. Brandon said that if we kept a constant speed he thought the belt, which drives all the critical systems of the car "might not fail." Eventually the rubber all burned away and it quit smoking, but it was an awful trip, and of course completely pointless.
