Kerry was indeed a great war hero. He was also a great peace hero. He could have dodged the war like Bush-Cheney-Delay but instead he fought, killed and was wounded three times. Afterward, he realized the war was wrong (as we know is true now) and fought just as hard to end it, thereby savings thousands of lives. A true hero.
