SAN FRANCISCO — LSI Logic Corp. Friday (June 10) increased its second quarter 2005 revenue guidance to a range of $465 million to $475 million.

LSI Logic (Milpitas, Calif.) previously had said it expected second quarter revenue in the range of $450 million to $465 million.

Abhi Talwalkar, LSI Logic president and CEO, credited strength in the company's Storage Components business as the primary reason for the boost. "We are also seeing better-than-expected growth in our DVD recorder and overall ASIC products," Talwalkar said.
