JFK was the first to crack down on the Mafia. But ironically, his father was mixed up with them and they did him a few favors in West Virginia. Sinatra was his buddy, but JFK turned against Frank and his mob masters. Which is why the mob probably helped Hoover and the rightwing CIA kill JFK. And RFK.

Nowadays, such mafia-like activities and voter fraud are all on the Republican side. Texas style. We're supposed to have matured a lot since then as a nation, but the Bushies are dragging us back, back, back into darker and darker sides of America. As if Watergate and Vietnam had never happened. They certsainly learned no lessons from them. They just don't care about ethics at all. But they will pay a steep price next year.

They'd better gouge and steal as much as they can now because they won't be in power for long. Then not again for a long time. The entire GOP neds a ton of reform. Maybe McCain can lead the way.
