It strikes me that europe has a very real interest in a peaceful iraq. They should be helping us at least with securing the borders as best we can. NATO in particular should be there. Are the euros waiting for an american invitation? Is this admin gripped by a false sense of pride? The fact that on this thread you and kumar are talking about 50 year old volunteers vs drafting of 18 year olds leads me to believe that both the euros and americans and the turks for that matter should do "bygones" and start working for a good outcome even though there is no guarantees of success in doing so. Whether the war was smart of stupid is now moot if one views the bigger picture. Hell even iran could make a big contribution if it really wants to be included in the new globalized world. Mike
