I wouldn't say he broke international law. His coup was only in Iraq and it affected only Iraqis.

And where is it so written? And, anyway, even if you have a gang of "willing" nations, does that mean it was right to remove Saddam? Is it right to remove Mugabe? Or Chirac? Or, for that matter, any leader "we" don't like? I would say to do so is more the rule of the jungle than the rule of law.
