I'm confidant the UN charter allows us to fight a power which fires at our troops. That's nothing more than self-defense. Iraq did so regularly while we were enforcing the UN authorized no-fly zones and arms embargo.

And they never hit a single aircraft. I thought it was all pretty stupid on Saddam's part. Shooting at out of range aircraft and in return his radar and gun installations are blown to smitherings...and then you argue that after years of that stupid little game that it's "self defense" to invade Iraq. ROTFLOL.

After all these years, I'm still amazed at the brain power of the conservative base.
