I've used Roundup, and used 2,4,D both of which I prescribed professionally in my salad days. At best, I still have dead weeds that I have to pull to make it look good. I have a ditch moat sort of affair on two sides that is lined with one inch gravel. My best efforts don't keep weeds down, so my new burner is my next method. It's a safe place to burn, and I am very cautious. I'll pull little fire breaks to make sure the spread is limited, and keep water with me at all times. Also, because the weeds are sparse, the heat will never get too intense. The main advantage of burning over Roundup and pulling is that it kills and gets rid of weeds in one operation. I wouldn't recommend burning to anyone without experience, nor any situation that holds a potential for spread or getting out of control.
