I must grin again. You find it difficult to tell who's doing MOST of the harm in Iraq, and marvel at how I can divine that information. In point of fact, I didn't divine that information, and you again speak falsely of my words. It is as though you comprehend nothing I've said about your prior mischaracterization. I "divined" that outside insurgents cause much of the harm, which I think is hardly a revelation. While you seem to worry over just who causes MOST of the harm, and claim that I claim to know the answer to that, in fact I never addressed the notion. It's as though you write in a fantasy world in which you believe I've written things which all can see I simply have not.

I'll add that when you at last ask, "How you can characterize that foreign fighters are causing much of the damage is beyond my ability to know," I can only reply that either your "ability to know" is severely compromised, you may not have been noticing oft reported news of outside forces crossing into Iraq to fight the holy war of choice, or, if my "divined" damage, done by outside forces, is at some point proven to be "minimal" and "inconsequential" rather than "much," I'll be surprised indeed.

You say "likely the insurgents, foreign and domestic, are probably affecting the situation in Iraq according to and proportional to their strength in number," and I'll say if that's exactly so (and I could imagine saying so myself, without self contradiction), then I'm confident that it would be fair and logical to characterize the damage done by either of the groups (sunni or Zarqawi groups) as "much" of the damage.

I don't know why you struggle so with this. Perhaps it's just your anger that I suggested the fighting in Iraq isn't OUR fault, but rather the fault of asshole beheaders, etc. (foreign or domestic, mind you). Hey, I'm sticking to it. And if most of the problem is domestic asshole Sunnis, while outside forces perhaps only account for "much" of the problem we face, or even only an insignificant amount, so be it. It's not we who have the bad intent, and not we who need putting down.
