Nah. They got carried away and thought they had a mandate from the election and Hillary was itchy to make her mark. Bush SS initiative reminds me of HC alot by missing the mark in terms of where public sentiment would be.
After the HC debacle, Hillary was very quiet except on some of the social issues--gay rights, world is a village stuff. Also believe it or not that all occurred 12 years ago. People change. Think Newt.
