Die endgültige Entscheidung über den Standort wird nach den Worten des AMD-Vorstandsvorsitzenden Hector Ruiz "spätestens bis zum Sommer nächsten Jahres" fallen. "Es ist sehr wahrscheinlich, daß wir mit dem Beginn des Jahres 2008 eine neue Fabrik brauchen", sagte Ruiz dieser Zeitung.
