The article says that this will mean 1000 new jobs (Fab30=2000 jobs, Fab36=1000 jobs). The german government wouldn't be very interested if they lost the 2000 jobs in Fab30 to be replaced with 1000 jobs in Fab38. So I guess that Fab30 will still produce something (x86) in 2008 (Geode?). Certainly not flash, since Spansion will be a separate company by then.
