I wanted to post this here for your opinion, not your other posters...
JeffA nailed it. A post is a post. It's open to the whole site. You don't want to say something to the whole site, you use PMs.

Congressman Conyers Blog
Blog. Appropriate name.

"Only the dead have seen the end of war." - Plato

Don't like it? Move to an alternate universe.

The Civil War cost 560,000 American lives. Knowing that, would you say we should not have fought it?

World War II cost 407,000 American lives. Knowing that, would you say we should not have fought it?

That's 1700 men and women who have given their lives for a lie.
Ever looked at WW2 from the GERMAN side. Go back to 1919 and justify the Versailles Treaty.

The US wouldn't sign that treaty and made a separate peace. Did you know that? It didn't agree with French and British attitudes of squeezing the Germans dry. It thought maybe they should be given a chance at a peaceful prosperity instead of guaranteeing poverty and unrest.

You know something? Regardless of the WHY, we're in that war now. Like it or not.

YOU have some choices to make.

Do we stick iy out and try to make a prosperous democratic Iraq?

Or do we pull out now and let come whatever will, be that an Islamic theocracy, a terrorist state, or a combination of the two?

Which do you prefer?

These are the HARD choices. These are the real world choices. not some fantasy invented in a peace protest parade marching down Telegraph Avenue.

But these are the choices that count.

You, your children, and your children's children will bear the burden of your choice now. Like it or not.

Let's hope and pray that by next year we will see the end of the Bush/Cheney murderous regime..
So in the next year your plan is to impeach both the President and the Vice President? Or is assassination the plan?

Give me a break.
