Baathists can be Syrians too. In any case, this argument about foreign fighters is nonsensical. We went there and we are getting screwed. Why did we go there? Why did we send so few troops? Why didn't we build a 1990's type coalition? Where do we go from here? Do we pull out? If not, how can we send more troops? Do we start the draft now? If there is to be no draft, how can we maintain, let alone add to the military, when recruitment numbers are dwindling? These are the kinds of questions that the administration has to answer, rather than point fingers at the invisible foreign hand in Iraq.
