Al, Those are your words, not mine. I said some, even many do require tithing....not all. Some of the ones that don't, certainly encourage it.

So we've gone from "forcing" to "demanding" to "requesting" to "encouraging."

Like I said before, the college campus services don't even request or encourage donations. I guess that would be too offensive to some. You can thank the "intolerant tolerants" for that.
