I don't know why you intentionally ignore my point that the unborn are biologically and genetically distinct from the mother.

I ignore it because it is irrelevant. There are people who are biologically distinct from each other and there are some who are not. Think both twins and clones. You have latched onto that trivial bit of chemistry as if it were important, I think you do so only to confuse the issue.

And yes, I have children, and we had a child born too early, at five months gestation, who did not survive the day. In that case the fetus went from wanted to unwanted in about 12 hours time.

How do we determine what a Human being is?
While I am sure this seems very important to you, but it too is largely irrelevant or easily understood by common sense. The real question is why you think all life on earth should be put at risk for such an abstract question. The real question is how humans fit into the continuous chain of life on earth that sustains the whole information tree that is life.

A new and biologically distinct life begins to exist at the moment of conception.
Once again you rely on slogans. If you just get a microscope you can easily see that sperm are not dead, and therefore life didn't "begin" at conception, it only went through one of it's many milestones.
