Looks like gold may finally be regaining its former role as the "canary in the mine " providing an early warning of trouble ahead in the global economy and financial markets. If this is indeed the case gold may develop into the next bubble. I would not rule out $1000 a few years hence. A time to buy and hold bullion while one trades the stocks?
