Nonsense, Tide! (And, by the way, I thought you said you didn't want to post nto me anymore? I was enjoying the silence. :) America, throughout it's history as a nation, has ALWAYS been a shining beacon of liberty and freedoms in this world. So, it is NEVER 'anti-american' to stand up for individual liberty and the rule of law. (Re: Seems to me there are several PROUD moments in our history when our patriotic, freedom-loving citizen warriors fought to rid the world of non-judicial detentions by Authoritarians who ignored basic human rights....) It's rather SAD that you equate 'Americanism' with knee-jerk support for whatever Authoritarian action comes down the pike from a bloated federal government... and the sad, slow wittling-away of traditionally AMERICAN PRINCIPLES like separation of powers, and judicial review, and the rights of the individual in the State....
