The point remains, Mark Felt is a convicted criminal who went to jail for the same type of crime the Democrats seem to idolize him for illegally releasing information on. Linda Tripp (who did not go o jail over her recordings) is demonized by Democrats for the same kind of behavior that FBI agents use to convict organized criminals every day.

"The reason she is not in jail now is because the law requires that one participant of the conversation being recorded consent to the recording."

it could be interpreted to mean that Maryland law is silent on the subject.

Does Maryland allow law enforcement agents to use wiretaps and tape conversations of their agents without the consent of suspected criminals? Are law enforcement agents above the law? Does Maryland strictly require such agents to obtain a search warrant before every use of a "wire"? I believe the answers are obvious.

IMHO people who follow the partisan Democrat line on these two issues are hypocrites.
