I didn't call anything ground zero! The article I posted did. I post lots of articles simply because they are interesting in some way, not because I agree with the content. In the sense that ground zero simply means the epicenter of some sort of activity, I suppose that could be accurate.

I think that animal rights activists who are violent would probably argue that it is only violence that gets public attention, so that finally opinions change on whether it is ethical to experiment on animals. I don't think the movement is nearly as active in America as it is in Europe, particularly Britain.

I am not a violent person, but I also think it is important to remember that lab animals are treated very violently. The other side in this debate does not really stand on high moral ground, either. I can understand the frustration of these very misguided people. How do you think people who feel this way should get the attention of the public, or save the lives of these animals?
