Why limit the overgeneralization to Democrats? Surely this also shows why men are unsuited to be President.

Funny. I've been dithering on weighing in on the Durbin fiasco, but figured discretion was the better part of valor in this case.

But since you've taken the first step. It's been very weird watching what were extremely stupid remarks twisted into, first, treason, and then, an indictment of an entire political party.

Talk about mass hysteria.

Peel back what Durbin said and leave off the extremely stupid hyperbole and he's just ticked off about the treatment of prisoners in Gitmo. And if he'd left it there, who knows what kind of trouble he'd be in? But no, he had to use the N-word (Nazi). Well, I am glad to see that using the N-word carelessly finally backfires. Maybe this will be a cautionary tale.

But the hysterical overreaching into using one man's errors in judgment as an indictment of an entire political party actually is rather frightening, as well as humorous and frustrating. Not to misuse the N-word, this, taken to extremes, can lead to violence and oppression.

One more indication of the extreme polarization of discourse in this country, let's just leave it at that.
