Rascal, I think everybody on this thread knows which points on your timeline have been "sexed up" - all with the point of proving that Bush had made his mind up to go to war from the day he took office (tho I don't think anybody doubts that Bush thought removal of Saddam an important and desirable goal), and that conversely, and quite offensively to my mind, that Saddam Hussein was a perfect innocent who had every right to be just left alone in power, being a sovereign ruler & all that.

Use WMD? Why, he'd never! Except for all the times he did. Support al Qaeda! Who could have thought it? Well, there were the claims to the caliphate, and there were those $25,000 payments to Palestinian suicide bombers; maybe he had decided to be a little more circumspect in the case of blowing up Americans. Pre-existing state of war? Flouted UN resolutions? Fuggedaboudit. And let's never mind the mass graves; the only dead who count have been killed by Americans, even Amnesty International knows that.
