It's not just Dana Milbanks acting in their regular poodle role, it's also Kinsley and Sanger and Ifill and a host of other 'professional' journalists dissing the DSM.

IMO, there are two factors at work here. 1. Some are still shilling for the admin out of fear or greed. 2. Others are really, really, REALLY miffed that they're being called on the carpet by 'amateur' AKA their customers.

I think they know they missed something big while getting their teeth whitened for the cameras. They're embarrassed and they're lashing out AT THE STORY to hide their own incompetence.

This could be a watershed moment in American Media History. I think it makes 'professional' journalists not credible. It's too bad because Frank Rich who is usually right on the money and Kinsley who isn't that bad either look poorly.
