Apple and UMAX Reach Agreement on Licensing Mac OS 8


CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Apple Computer Inc.
(Nasdaq: AAPL) has reached an agreement with UMAX Computer Corporation to
bundle Mac OS 8 on UMAX computers under the general terms of UMAX's current
licensing agreement with Apple.
This license to UMAX for Mac OS 8 does not include the rights to use Mac
OS 8 on Common Hardware Reference Platform (CHRP) based systems and is valid
through July 1998.
