Walter,

I don't know what your level of math is, but in my opinion, for every buyer there is a seller. All the reporters have reported that investors lost 6 billion. Well, since Bre-X stock was trading at pennies before its run up, I'd say $6 B was made (maybe more if you take into account options trading). Whether the trading was offshore or within tax jurisdictions is irrelevant. A lot of mone was made. IMO, if you had followed Bre-X from the time it was unknown, the main buyers of pvt. placements were brokerage houses. There was a large block of placement to European investors also.

As far as taxes go, I guess the stock exchanges have the data, and we will never know how much of the profits were from offshore trading. I beg to differ with Bill on this.

And yes, you have still not answered as to why you hide behind your mask of "Walter". Do you find it easier to verbally abuse/rape a few people on the thread of your dislike by hiding behind "Walter", pretty immature in my opinion.

Also, I will always believe in the innocent until they are proven guilty, and this has nothing to do with education.

Cheers, Lalit Jain
