I've been tired of the futile argument over a dead issue for a long time. Why aren't you tired of it? Do you think you can change history? Alternate history scenarios (which is what the Iraq war argument is now) are interesting as pasttimes but there is no use for arguments.

I've considered for some time developing a standard reply to every launch of a re-enactment of the Iraq war argument and simply posting it.

The important issues now are what to do to help Iraq get on its feet, develop a stable govt that represents its people, and eventually withdraw our troops.

BTW, I will be traveling for a few weeks in some wild and wooly areas of the world where I will likely not have internet access, so hope no one expects any replies soon.
