the middle class benefits from Medicaid, either directly through nursing home payments for their elderly parents.

this is the biggest rip off to the general public. It is not only the middle class but upper middle and rich who move money from mom and dad and put them on the state medicaid program.

What makes them entitled to keep mom and dad's money and we support them for the next ten to twenty years. To fix medicaid laws should be set that if at any time with x decades mom and pop go on medicaid and there was a transfer of money to their children then the children will be responsible for support.

1/3 of all expenses for medicaid in Penn. is elderly. I wonder how many of those are not really qualified for medicaid if they couldn't transfer wealth to their children?
