I wonder how much a general practitioner is really going to earn these days without starting their own practice. That coupled with the fact that they have 8 years or so of non earning and debt building for school and I don't know that the lifetime earnings would be that different. It doesn't really matter I guess anyhow but it's a fact that I always find curious especially during negotiation time when they tell me they want 5 more dollars per hour:)

The ultimate point that we all seem to be in agreement on is I think more kids should be exposed to the trade alternative by their HS.
