I know how interested you are in federal employee benefits. I pay $58/mo for comprehensive coverage of $50/day for 5 years with a 90 day waiting period. I'll let you assess whether that "next to no money." I think it's at or about market rate.

If the Government is going to pick up the tab for Medicare, shouldn't the tab be the same amount in every State?? If not, I'd like to hear some concrete reasons from anyone who cares to comment...

I think you mean Medicaid, not Medicare. And I think that Medicaid is run by the states so they set their own rules, more or less.

Seattle at $170+ a DAY, and Rhode Island, and even LA, and MUCH less per day...like $14.00+ per day...

WHAT is going on with that?


You're comparing apples and oranges. The former is the daily nursing home rate and the latter is the hourly cost of a nurse.
