The fellow who makes my eye glasses is planning to retire to I believe its called Medina in the Yucatan area of Mexico. I have been to Medina and its a very pretty spanish town. anyhow, I asked him about Medical care, he claims for $600 a year you can buy medical coverage that takes care of anything. Now, I dont know what the medical care is in Mexico as to quality, but that sure is a lot cheaper then anything in the states. Years ago in the Philippines I took my maids father to Cebu Doctors Hospital (a very fine hospital similar to something you would find in the states) and had some tests run on him plus a physical checkup. Cost me a total of $10 American. That was in 1983, I am sure its much more today but probably a lot less then anything here. jdn
