I just remembered, what ever happened to the idea that Arab nations were going to take over peacekeeper duties after we removed saddam? Wasn't that the plan?

I was thinking something today.

What if the Iraq campaign is basically successful, and over the next 1-2 years the new Iraqi civil defense force puts down the killer insurgents, the US withdraws from the policeman role, Iraq re-enters the world stage as a successful, democratic nation. every thing goes hunky dory.

And then, in 2008, the Iraqis decide to invade Kuwait for the purpose of liberating the oppressed Kuwaitis from their dictatorial leadership and installing a democratic, Kuwaiti government! If it was good enough for the US to do for Iraq, its good enough for the Iraqis to do for the Kuwaits.

Wouldn't that be a bizarre twist....
