Now hold on there an alluvial-gemstone-pickin' minute, my pulpy friend. Your BIG WINNER, SUF is #2 to my #1 winner, MPV. Great website at mountainprovince.com

(Actually if you checked today's close you'd be ahead with SUF but who's counting).

Actually I think they're both excellent companies. I've been looking for an entry point on SUF but the thing just keeps getting away from me. I agree, Jennings is an excellent ambassador for the whole mining industry.

Anyway I have mentioned MPV before on this thread and the story keeps getting better. They are awaiting results of numerous additional pipes discovered on their property by project operator De Beers, and are actively looking for new kimberlite in the vicinity. Mountain Province's Northwest Territories land seems to be in an area which is emerging as a second very 'hot' area with regard to mineral chemistry. It is quite a bit south of the main 'hot' area around Dia Met's rich finds, but still in the Corridor of Hope. The Corridor of Hope was losing interest until de Beers starting working some of this land and started finding pipes that should have been found earlier given the great mineral chemistry.

They already have one proven economic pipe. Finding more makes development feasible and "unlocks the whole area". That is, de Beers is going to play for keeps now, it wants to develop the property, as long pending results from new pipes are as good as the one pipe already proven.

Playing the more junior stocks is no longer that certain, although there are a couple of possibilities in the NWT and Alberta, if you time it right. Area plays are out of vogue, no one believes anything mining promoters say anymore.

The mid sized companies are going to get their due though if big players like de Beers and institutional investors realize they are sitting on undervalued assets. This is proven by the fact that Fidelity announced last week that it acquired 10% of Mountain Province.

Here's to a tomato sized diamond in YOUR pipe.
