I've just started a new book, Andrew Bacevich's "The New American Militarism". It promises to be an excellent read. Bacevich is a West Point trained and now retired Lt. Col. and currently Professor of International Studies at Boston University. His point is that America is obsessed as never before in its history with militarism, and that this gives every indication of ending badly.
