Factory farming is totally unnecessary is what I am saying. It is unhealthful for people to eat meat and dairy products; these foods cause cancer and heart disease, as well as diabetes and some other diseases. Factory farming also causes really serious pollution (except for that dairy farm near your house). It causes horrendous suffering to animals, who are sentient beings, and it takes 50,000 gallons of water to produce one pound of beef. In short, there is absolutely no really good reason that factory farms should exist. I would agree with you that market forces may eventually lead to their demise.
