Sorry I forgot to answer this.

Basically, I think low volume stocks like SPDV can certainly be traded using technical and chart analysis.

But these are high risk, speculative trades. So position size should be smaller than usual, IMHO. And I look for evidence of manipulation, and try to draft off that.

Also, when I trade these things, I am extremely patient, I don't set a stop (except a mental stop), and I am fully prepared to be underwater for weeks at a time or sometimes even a few months while the stock goes nowhere.

Usually when I trade these things I am looking for an explosive move. So far, I can't remember ever being wrong.; sometimes I have had to wait a very long time, even 2 or 3 months! But each time, the wait has been well worth it.
