The repression in China resembles some of the abuse of power that was conducted on a local level in frontier days in the still growing America.

Do you see any similarity to Chinese government officials hiring toughs to beat and drive off farmers resisting government's plans for their land and the AFL/CIO sending toughs to attack Bush/Cheney campaign headquarters and assault campaign workers?
