None of the people who post on this board trust government at all times and all places. So what's the fuss? The fuss is in the MSM, for what purpose, that is debatable. Nobody is saying that the status of the prisoners at Gitmo or the abuses at Abu Ghraib are beyond discussion. But when Gitmo - whose well fed prisoners get and receive mail and are visited by the ICRC - is pronounced "the gulag of our times", or when the New York Times decides that Abu Ghraib is a story worth running on Page One for 32 days in a row, something other than reasoned debate is going on.
