As I said in my previous post. If "ANY" prison system in the world were held under a similar microscope, they would come out wanting far worse. Have you ever seen a French prison? A Turkish prison? A Belgium prison? A U.K. prison? A Greek prison, or an Italian prison? Heck! most of the "hospitals" I've seen in Italy have worse things happen, not too mention the prison system. Did you know that in Italy the word of a policemen is tantamount to a "fact" in court? Isolated incidents of neglect and abuse happen everywhere. We can mitigate them, but that's about it.
