Sorry to hear you say that CB. You are talking of two situations, IMO. #1) You seem to be questioning the need to continue any of the precautions and terrorism prevention procedures implemented in this country post 9-11. and #2) You seem to be questioning if we should be gathering up the worst of the worst and putting them in Gitmo. You said: "We didn't do this to any of them. Why not?" They are in jail. Did you not want them to be? Or is it Gitmo you are talking about??? I don't know....maybe you want these folks in a prison near you...I sure don't. The IRC has an office I understand, in the prison at Gitmo....What is the problem? And no...I am feeling way beyond revenge. You are wrong there. Entirely. Although I do remember the visual of people jumping out of the World Trade Center with horror, and so much sadness it still makes my eyes water. But rather, I think the question is as you noted: "Is this necessary? " Perhaps we had better define: THIS. Are you meaning Gitmo. Or are you meaning "Awareness and hopefully, prevention of another "event" on American soil?"
