I saw that. I was just pointing out that you made a blanket and unwarranted statement. One that happens to be contrafactual.

But the lighter suspension is one way to cut weight. Probably one that won't work well in the US. Personally, I think ditching the bumpers is a good way to cut weight, they were a bad idea from the start. Side door guard beams, OTOH, I like. Allowing tempered glass instead of safety glass is another place weight can be saved. And so on.
