It's clear that the US has tortured it's prisoners in many places around the world. What makes you think they have stopped? Just a hunch?

I don't know much about the US systemically torturing prisoners around the world.

It seems to have been systemic at Gitmo, and what makes me think they/we have stopped is the passage of time renders the potential benefit of torture moot (the prisoners surely gave up whatever info they were going to give up within a month or so, I would imagine).
