06:16 AMD New Hewlett-Packard laptops to use AMD chips - WSJ (17.80 )

The WSJ reports that H-P (HPQ) plans to use a chip from AMD in a new notebook computer for business customers, a field dominated by technology from Intel. H-P's new Compaq nx6125 system, to be formally announced today, is aimed primarily at small businesses and starts at $999. It uses AMD's Turion 64 chip, which competes with Intel's Pentium M microprocessor.
