Oil rigs on the horizon are seriously ugly. I've lived on the shore where you could see them. Disguising them as buildings or islands or some such, maybe ocean liners, is a great idea, I think. Or maybe we could use stealth technology to make them invisible. <g>

Windmills, otoh, don't offend my not-quite-so-delicate sensibilities. I've found the wind farms I've seen rather pretty, in their way.
